Sanctuary Events Center Partner & Director of Sales, Kayla Cash and her team have completed over 1,400 weddings in the last nine years, and she still enjoys them as if it’s her first season. She really has “seen it all” when it comes to weddings in the Fargo-Moorhead area. It all started when she was a bride in 2014, and as she was going through the wedding planning process, she ended up becoming an Event Coordinator/Director of Sales at her wedding venue. Having firsthand knowledge as a bride, she knew exactly what each couple was going through as they planned their big day and she dove right into the wedding industry and never looked back. Her passion grew over the years, and now, as a partner at three of the region’s top wedding venues, she takes great pride in what their management teams have created at each venue. They offer full-service weddings with an unforgettable five-star experience for all of their wedding couples and their guests.

I enjoy giving suggestions of vendors if they need guidance, helping curate their wedding day timeline, and seeing their vision come to life. All three unique venues offer allinclusive wedding packages ranging from $2,000-$8,000. Each venue has its own charm, yet all are tied together with their attention to detail and overall venue design.

Sanctuary Events Center is a full-service wedding venue located in downtown Fargo. This one-of-a-kind venue offers state-of-the-art technology and an all-inclusive experience for weddings. The commitment to excellence is evident through the many awards they’ve received including “Best Wedding Venue” from the Best of the Red River Valley in addition to “Best Wedding Reception/Event Facility” by Locals Love Us! Typically most weddings range from 150-325 guests, and a large majority of wedding groups host their full ceremony, dinner and dance on site. From the stunning architecture to the traditional vibes and the impeccable service, this venue has set the bar for excellence in this region.

After they realized there was a need for additional unique event space in the Fargo-Moorhead area, they opened RiverHaven Events Center in downtown Moorhead. Many know this venue as the former “Usher’s House” restaurant, a gorgeous stone building located along the Red River. Its large windows overlooking the river and gorgeous landscape create a unique ceremony and reception experience unlike any other in this area. RiverHaven specializes in weddings of 100-200 guests and offers a full-service experience for all couples. The outdoor patio with scenic views is perfect for wedding photos, social hour and cozying up to the firepit during your wedding reception.

Their most recent project has been transforming a former bar/steakhouse in Valley City, ND into a premier venue. They found that many couples in rural communities are limited when it comes to venue options that offer the full-service experience with an elegant venue to celebrate their special day. Kayla saw a huge need for event space in the community she grew up in and was excited to bring an upscale venue experience to her hometown called The Reserve at Woodland. This venue features four acres of gorgeous views overlooking the Sheyenne River Valley. The overall theme and style of this venue mirrors Sanctuary and RiverHaven, from the stunning chandeliers and exquisite ceiling architecture to the polished concrete floors. The Reserve is perfect for weddings of up to 300 guests and offers the same full-service experience with in-house food and beverage services.
