Christy’s team at Love Always Floral focuses on designing daily arrangements for delivery, wedding florals, and floral decor for corporate events. No matter the request, they are there to design for any big moments in the Fargo-Moorhead community! The Love Always Floral team is also approaching a big milestone this coming January, celebrating eight years of business to the community, and their passion has stayed consistent from the very beginning—creating with love, flowering for good, and inspiring beauty.

Christy’s time outside of work is mainly spent chasing around her three kids, ages three, four, and five. “Being a mother has inspired me to show those kiddos they can make the world a better place, one person or moment at a time,” she said.

Meet Christy Tehven, the founder and owner of Love Always Floral in Fargo. Christy grew up in Langdon, ND, and graduated from Concordia College with a double major in business marketing and communications. She had the privilege of working with Flint Group and SCHEELS before she founded Love Always Floral in 2016.

Blossoming New Trends in the Floral Industry

“Our goal is to create arrangements as you would see them in a garden,” Christy said. “We focus on that airy, negative space and a whimsical, natural feel versus a highly structured design.” Using trending, artisan florals and modern mediums, each design is uniquely created. With an emphasis on natural composition, interesting textures, and unconventional colors and flower varieties, from weddings and large-scale installations to a Tuesday “just because” delivery, Christy and her team’s work is crafted with intention and artful precision.

The Love Always Floral team loves creating full-scale installations. If a project involves designs that hang in the air, floral statements that grow up from the ground, or anything in between, the Love Always Floral team is in! They love new innovative ideas and figuring out how they can make that dream come to life!

“Weddings will forever hold a special place in our teams’ hearts,” Christy said. “The fact couples trust us to be a part of their kick-off to forever is not lost on us. We especially love pouring our hearts into our bouquets, as this is the design piece that you hold as you walk down to your loved one. We can’t help but cry when you cry and feel all those beautiful emotions!”

Featured Wedding Project: Riley & Ellie's Wedding at Brewhalla

“We recently loved working on a wedding at the new event venue, Brewhalla, alongside an amazing lineup of local vendors!” Christy said. “Ellie and Riley wanted to bring a modern twist to their fall wedding.”

While working with wedding couples, Christy and her team always start with an initial complimentary consultation. This helps the couple understand their process, get to know a little bit more about the company and together they dream up all the beautiful floral ideas. Following the meeting, an itemized estimate and inspiration board are sent over for review. With Ellie, Christy and her team were able to do a site tour of Brewhalla and First Lutheran in downtown Fargo to visualize the space.

At the reception, the Love Always Floral team made their own spider web to string strands of painted asparagus ferns throughout the main space of the reception hall, alongside beautiful bud vases on every table to bring in some brighter color. “Karissa with Plan to Gather Events, was a rockstar in helping line up all the details for the day,” Christy said. “The White House Company brought stylized touches to match perfectly and Ivan Amssan Photography captured the personalities of the couple beautifully!”

Perhaps it’s the head table, your ceremony backdrop, or a photo area. We recommend those areas to be in high-traffic spots or where a lot of pictures will be taken.”
