It can’t be said enough, we are blessed with tremendous parks on our area! Unfortunately, we don’t have enough pages in this magazine to highlight all of them. So, here are a few that we think you absolutely must check out.
1. Orchard Glen Park, Fargo
Although you won’t find a traditional playground at Orchard Glen Park, this natural treasure trove is a must-visit for the whole family.
As a community provides plenty of oppurtunities to see birds and other wildlife in a natural setting along the banks of the Red River and offers visitors the oppurtunity to pick seasonal fruit free of charge.

2. Broadway Square, Fargo
Broadway Square is one of out fine city’s newest parks. Located at the corner of Broadway and 2nd Avenue N. in front of the Block 9 Tower, Broadway Square is here to serve as a powerful community gathering space. In the summer, it is a cozy turf area and in the winter it is a skating rink!
The park is already hosting great events like Fitness Fridays, Chalk Fest, Downtown Yoga, Music at the Square and much more this July.

3. Iwen Park, Fargo
Iwen Park does not feature a traditional park either. What it does feature is two disc golf course, a boat ramp with access to the Red River, and mountain bike trails. Oh, and and absolutely breathtaking scenery.

4. Island Park, Fargo
Fargo’s oldest park is conveniently located downtown, with a starting point at the head of Broadway.
The most famous Island Park landmark is the gazebo in the center of teh park. It’s available for event rental, including weddings. On an average summer day, the park can be filled with hammocks, balancing acrobats, fitness gurus and brisk strollers.

5. Lindenwood Park, Fargo
Lindenwood Park is the largest multi-use park in Fargo and a great place for the whole family to explore. Within the park, you can find miles of trails, five picnic shelters, a beautifully landscaped campground, bike and kayak rentals and a fully adaptive playground for people of all abilities.

6. Rendezvous Park, West Fargo
Perhaps the most complete park in the FM area, Rendezvous Park has a little something for everyone. Amenities within the park include playground equipment, a sand volleyball court, six baseball fields, a basketball court, two disc golf course, a skate park and two soccer fields with walking/biking paths throughout the entire park.
The park is also host to a number of shelter areas, three of which are available to reserve on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

7. Gooseberry Mound Park, Moorhead
Gooseberry Mound Park is one of the gems of the Moorhead Park systems. The 45-acre park has public restrooms, bikes trails, playgounds, a big picnic shelter, large expanses of lawn, and a footbridge across the river to Fargo’s Lindenwood Park.
