City Brew Hall’s historic building was once home to the City Hall offices for the city of Wahpeton. In 2018, the owners renovated the space to create a 150-person restaurant and 300-person event venue, donning exposed brick and gorgeous, towering windows. City Brew’s space showcases vintage elegance with contemporary finesse.
It’s not the space alone that brings couple after couple through the doors of City Brew. The restaurant offers a made-from-scratch gastropub menu—or, bar food with a twist! The event center offers a menu from Brew Catering, a sister company, where the chef-driven team prepares made-from-scratch meals that not only taste good but have a focus on beautiful plating as well. To arrange the day to be as perfect as it can be, all couples hosting their special day at City Brew Hall can invite a few guests to a big group tasting to try multiple meal options, appetizers, and wine and cocktails.

The Chambers, a dedicated bridal suite, showcases striking blackboard and batten walls, a backdrop that accentuates bridal dresses in contrast. And, adding to the venue’s historic charm, is the original stairway, complete with its vintage banister—a perfect setting for grand, cascading shots.
The Chambers space is unique in and of itself. This bridal suite area was originally the building’s vault. Now, with gorgeous mirrors and sconce lighting, The Chambers holds up to 24 for a seated meal but can be rearranged for the perfect bridal party!
The charm doesn’t stop indoors; the exterior of the historic building displays multiple sections of both exposed and elegantly painted brick, each serving as a stunning scene for those looking for a blend of rustic and modern. Additionally, various nooks and corners adorned with fun wallpaper, quirky light fixtures, and intricate wall decor ensure that every photo captured here is a piece of art to tell a couple’s unique story.
From The Chambers for the bridal party’s needs and the restaurant and bar area reserved for the groom’s party, the entirety of City Brew Hall becomes your playground for your entire special day. The stunning patio features a pergola, cafe lights, and a gas fireplace, as well as a charming “bubbly tailer”—a retrofitted camper with a small window to pass out bubbly or hot cocoa.
