Fargo’s First Annual Brunch Festival at Wild Terra

Hosted By Wild Terra

Did You Know?
The word “brunch” was coined by British writer Guy Beringer in an 1895 article in Hunter’s Weekly

If you’re like me, you love a good brunch dish. Founder and President of Wild Terra, Breezee Hennings, is the same way. In fact, she’s so passionate about brunch, she decided to create a whole event dedicated to celebrating the wonderful brunch options we have in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Take a sneak peek at the cool things that the first-ever Fargo Brunch Festival will feature, including brunch food from several area restaurants, a mimosa bar, and a 30-foot-long bloody mary bar!

Why Celebrate Brunch?

“The idea behind the Fargo Brunch Festival was just the thought: ‘Who doesn’t love brunch?’ I thought, let’s celebrate this amazing meal. There’s so much involved in it. It’s not just dinner. It’s not just lunch. It’s its own thing, and it’s meant to be like a sport. There’s so much fun and so much joy during brunch time. Brunch is about hanging out with people that you want to be around. It’s about being with friends and family. It’s such a fun meal.”

– Breezee Hennings, Fargo Brunch Festival Organizer & Founder/President of Wild Terra

Along with the food and beverage component, the Fargo Brunch Festival will feature a variety of games and activities – some with prizes – including:

Dizzy Bloody Mary Stacking
In this game, you will wear “drunk simulation goggles” that blur your vision, then have to properly stack felt Bloody Mary toppers into a fake Bloody Mary.

Speedwalking Competition
This game involves walking as fast as you can without spilling your drink.

Egg Roulette
A game where two people take turns smashing hardboiled eggs on their head, with a raw egg in the mix. Whoever chooses and smashes the raw egg on their head is the loser!

Graffiti Wall
The festival will include a large canvas and spray paints for you to create art while you are there.

Yard Games
There will be yard games for you and your friends to play, like arcade basketball, ping pong, bag toss, and yard Jenga!

The point of a brunch festival is obviously the food! Here are some of the vendors that will be present at the festival:

  • The Boiler Room
  • Marge’s Dinner
  • Rosewild
  • BernBaum’s
  • Sandy’s Donuts
  • Brew Kitchen and Catering
  • Black Coffee and Waffle House

There will even be a Hot Sauce Station with Off the Deck Hot Sauce (which is featured on the cover of May’s issue)!

The Fargo Brunch Festival will take place on Sunday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $40. This is a 21+ event.
