Every Celebration Gives Back
At The 44, every single event supports local students through the Richland #44 Foundation. When couples celebrate here, they’re also helping create new opportunities for the next generation— and that’s something truly special to be part of. Couples can literally say, “Our wedding made a difference.”
Not Your Typical Barn or Ballroom
For years, weddings have been held in hotel ballrooms simply because it was convenient. But with easy transportation options today, why settle for a space that’s dark and closed in when you can have a bright, open venue and still ensure guests arrive and return safely?
Barns can absolutely be beautiful, but if you’re looking for something that feels modern, timeless, and just different, The 44 was built for you. Clean architecture, tall ceilings, and a timeless aesthetic create an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. A perfect canvas for any theme, color palette, or décor style.
Intentional Design, Seamless Flow, and Service
The 44 was designed so your day feels easy from start to finish—from your ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. The layout moves naturally between spaces, keeping guests connected and comfortable. The professional AV system allows speeches and announcements to be heard clearly throughout the venue while outdoor moments stay peaceful.
You’ll also notice how everything feels intentional— from the acoustics to the lighting to the people behind the scenes. Our team truly cares about you and your day. We’re there to make sure you feel taken care of, supported, and celebrated— so you can simply enjoy it all.
Customizable Packages & Flexible Spaces
Every couple has a different vision, and we love bringing that to life. You can customize your bar packages, seating layout, and ceremony setup. We offer round tables and custom-designed chairs for classic, polished look, and a select number of handcrafted wooden rectangles for couples who want to add a modern, designer feel.
Ceremony Options:
The Atrium – perfect for intimate ceremonies of 150 or fewer.
Outdoor Terrace – permanent seating for 315 with a natural backdrop.
Banquet-Style Indoor Setup – a seamless weather backup with reserved family rows.
For events up to 400, The Atrium can easily transform into overflow, buffet, or extra bar space.
Ask the Expert: Janna Koble, General Manager at The 44 Venue
“With 17 years of experience across both small and large scale events and over a decade in the bridal industry, my approach comes from experience, a big heart, and a passion for connection.”
Q: What makes your approach unique as a venue manager?
A: With years of experience across events of all sizes, I approach every couple with the same care and attention I’d want for my own event. When I trained bridal consultants, I always told them: “Become your client’s friend. Get to know who they are, their fiancé, their family, and their why. That builds trust and creates lifelong connections.”
Even now, I stay in touch with brides from years ago—I remember their names, their dresses, their moms and sisters. That’s the level of care I hope to bring to every couple at The 44. I want to know where they’re from, celebrate their milestones, and someday see them back here for family photos or their sibling’s wedding.
I hope people think of us as more than just a venue— because it’s never just about the day itself. It’s about the people, the purpose, and the memories made here.
Q: What’s your best advice for couples planning their wedding?
A: Communicate, trust your vendors, and remember we’re all on the same team—our goal is to make your day incredible. Everyone communicates differently, so give each other (and your team) a little grace. Be open-minded; sometimes the logistics or budget might shift things, but that doesn’t make your vision any less special.
We have so many talented local vendors in this region. Higher-priced doesn’t always mean better, and affordable doesn’t mean average. Find people who care about you, your story, and your day—that connection makes all the difference.
My 5 Simple Reminders for a Day You’ll Truly Enjoy
1. Make your day personal. Trends can be gorgeous, but the most memorable weddings are the ones that truly reflect who you are as a couple.
2. Delegate what you can, and if possible, hire a wedding planner or coordinator—or at least a day-of coordinator. They’ll handle the details, manage communication, and make sure everything runs smoothly so you and your family can focus on what really matters: soaking in every single moment.
3. While the tradition of not seeing your fiancé until the ceremony is beautiful, remember—that means you’ll spend half your wedding day apart. This day is about the two of you, so make the most of it together. A first look can still be incredibly meaningful, as it often eases nerves before the ceremony and gives you more time to enjoy your day side by side—after all, isn’t that what it’s really all about?
4. Go with the flow. It’s great to have a timeline, but it’s okay if things don’t go exactly as planned—your wedding won’t start without you!
5. Truly enjoy the day. Take moments to look around, see who’s with you, and appreciate everyone who showed up to celebrate you.
