Giving back has long been a part of the SCHEELS culture, making Giving Hearts Day a meaningful opportunity to support the organizations strengthening our communities. We’re proud to stand alongside groups like Jail Chaplains, UC Hope, and Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue as they make a lasting local impact.
Here are a few words from the organizations that have received support from SCHEELS, sharing the impact these donations have had within our community.
Jail Chaplains
"SCHEELS Giving Hearts Day donations to Jail Chaplains over the years have provided critical spiritual support and counseling to incarcerated individuals during one of the most challenging periods of their lives. The emotional and spiritual guidance provided helps individuals devlop better coping mechanisms and life skills before reentry into society. By supportin this work, donors directly invest in breaking cycles of crime and helping people transform their lives by surrendering to Jesus Christ."
Mike Little, Jail Chaplains, Executive Director
Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue
"In 2025, Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue assisted 900+ animals, organized 80+ adoption events, and conducted 4+ vaccination and spay/neuter clinics. These efforts resulted in more than 650 dogs and cats being placed in permanent homes. This level of impact was made possible through such events as the North Dakota Giving Hearts Day and the sustained support of our donors and community, whose contributions directly advance our mission of rescue, rehoming, and community education."

UC Hope
"SCHEELS donations to UC Hope have made a meaningful impact across the Dilworth, Glyndon, and Felton communities by supporting students and families with essential needs. The contributions help fund Rebel Hope Chests for school-age children, provide free seasonal clothing, holiday food baskets, bill assistance, and support for community residents and recovery clients. Donations also strengthen after-school programs by offering meals, snacks, and social-emotional learning, helping UC Hope serve local families when they need it most. We could not be more thankful for the support that we have received from SCHEELS!"
Cindy Henriksen, UC Hope, President
