A Mission Born from Personal Experience
The founders’ deep commitment to mental health care stems from personal experiences with mental illness within their families. Both Dr. Douglas Hess, DO and Aubrey Hess, MPAS, PA-C, have confronted the devastating impact of losing loved ones to suicide—Dr. Douglas Hess, DO, his grandmother, and Aubrey Hess, MPAS, PA-C, her uncle. These tragedies shaped their mission to provide accessible psychiatric care and break down the barriers that prevent timely interventions.
“We wanted to offer timely and compassionate comprehensive care to the community as the wait times, even now at some facilities, extend from six months to a year. Our motivation to provide care stems from personal history and the desire to prevent others from experiencing the pain we’ve known,” they said.
