Since its opening in 2019, Brew Bird has become a beloved destination for food lovers. Located on University, this family-owned restaurant, run by Britt and Alex Belquist, along with Shelby and Chad Terstriep, specializes in good ‘ole gluten-free fried chicken that is brined, hand-battered, and packed with flavor.

“We wanted to create a space where people could not only enjoy great food but also feel part of our community,” Britt said. “We focus on fresh, homemade dishes that make eating out easy, especially for parents juggling kids and dietary needs.”

With a fun and creative vibe, Brew Bird reflects its owners’ love for food, art, and community. The menu is almost entirely gluten-free, inspired by Alex’s personal gluten allergy, which led to the decision to craft tasty fried chicken that everyone can enjoy, without sacrificing taste
