Fargo, ND– Cass County Emergency Management and KLJ Engineering are pleased to announce a series of public meetings aimed at gathering input from the community for the development and update of a Multi Hazard Mitigation Plan (MHMP). These meetings are an essential part of our ongoing efforts to create a safer, more resilient community by addressing potential hazards and mitigating their impacts.

The purpose of the public meetings is to engage with residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to gather valuable feedback and suggestions for our Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The meetings will be open house format with the opportunity to learn more about the hazard mitigation planning effort, discuss local hazards, and provide feed. This plan will address a variety of potential hazards and threats, including natural disasters (such as flooding, extreme summer weather, and extreme winter weather) technological hazards (such as dam failure, hazardous materials spills, and transportation incidents), and adversarial threats (such as cyberattacks, terrorist attacks. Your input is crucial in helping us identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to reduce risks and enhance community safety.
Community involvement is important to the success of the County’s MHMP. Your insights will help shape a plan that reflects the needs and priorities of your community.
